Research is suggesting that self-monitoring is critical for generalization (Koegel, Koegel, Van Voy & Ingham, 1988). Therefore, SLPs need to provide frequent opportunities for self-reflection (Ertmer & Ertmer, 1998). This document requires students to rate their conversational use of sounds throughout the day to foster generalization.
