Speech-Language Pathology
Dear Colleagues and Families,
Welcome to SLPath. Our goal is to enable speech-language pathologists of all backgrounds to apply current, research-based treatment to their caseloads.
Given the large spectrum of communication disorders and the growing numbers of studies and publications devoted to them, there is a clear need for proven, evidence-based techniques to be brought to the forefront. At SLPath, we provide the bridge between research and practice. We recognize that many SLPs today are struggling to find time to cover their caseloads. By creating and sharing resources based on current findings, we enable SLPs to stay current with the literature and provide the treatment techniques proven to be most effective, thereby shortening treatment times.
Our continuously growing web site includes assessment tools, treatment ideas, homework sheets, research summaries and links to other online resources. For the past three years, we have offered resources to support best practices in phonological and articulation treatment. Recently, information has also been added for preschool language development and service delivery models. SLPs can access PowerPoint modules to educate families and teachers, developmental guides, and checklists for assessment and intervention as well.
We hope that you find this web site to be valuable and that our resources support you as your students become more effective communicators. If you have suggestions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for visiting and for all that you do to advocate for children.
